@ Arjun

Thanx Arjun
for the valuable information. You have answered all my queries.

Regarding the time frame...its quite kind of fixed. We'll try to prepone...but less chances.... What do you say? Is it totally impossible to trek till roopkund during that time?

Friends,

I am planning to do the roopkund trek in Sep. I donot have any company if anyone is willing to join me please buzz me on +91-9663396422 or drop me a note on girish.gopalarao@gmail.com.
I have the details worked out and my dates are flexible. Preferably from Sep 15 - Sep 25. I guess this is a better time rather than later in Sep

Hi Friends,
We three friends are planning for a trip to Ronti Saddle and beyond on 24th September. We will reach Loharjung on 26th and proceed forward on the next day. If everything supports us we will reach Ronti probably on 1st October. From there we will try to turn left and reach Sapta Kund just below Nandaghunti. According to the guide we have contacted, the route is virgin and couple of years back he had tried this route with a team from Kolkata. But due to some technical problem they had to return on the second day. This year we will try to find the route to Sapta kund with him. As far as the satellite map is concerned it may take 3 - 4 days to reach Sapta Kund from Ronti. If we are able to find the route to Ronti we will stay there for a day and then return to Sutol by the conventional route.

Hi,

We 3 are planning for a trip to Ronti and beyond on the 24th of September. Our actual trek will start on the 27th from Lohajung. After reaching Ronti we will turn left and try to reach Sapta Kund which is at the foothills of Nandaghunti. This is probably a virgin route.

As you are also going in the same rout and almost at the same time I want to share ideas with you in this regard.

Thanks.

Dear Friend,
The route you have mentioned is simply superb. We had been to this long back, in 89 and getting a bit nostalgic. From Baguabasa we turned left and walked along a ridge and reached Kanol. From Kanol we went to Ramni and then to Sutol. Then we trekked through Pana, Jhni Jhni, Chechni Vinayak Pass, Shartoli, Dakwani and Kuari Pass. As it was a trek completed quite a few years back the name of the villages may not in in proper sequence. But the entire route is really enjoyable. Never it rose above 12,000 ft except the Pass.
