all the best Mani, will be riding out to Tso Moriri. Just came back from Pangong Tso, roads are in bad condtions however BRO is working on them.

Hi, does anybody know if Rohtang pass is still open? And what weather conditions are there now? We would like to go for a trek in Lahaulu next week...

The Rohtang Pass is open right now, and normally it remains open till the beginig of Nov Each Year.

Full power so that means Zanskar and Baralacla Pass can be accessed on bike's.

Tunnel to make Leh accessible all year
India’s Highest Passageway At 10,000 M Will Be Avalanche-Proof, To Cut Travel Time

Chandigarh: Leh is set to become an all-weather destination after completion of an 8.8 km-long tunnel – highest in the country at an altitude of 10,000 metres—to bypass the formidable Rohtang Pass.
The Rs 1,410-crore project, which is under way to connect Lahaul valley and make Leh accessible throughout the year, has many firsts. Work is on to make the country’s first snow gallery to protect the tunnel from avalanches that are a major threat to infrastructure.

Hi friends,
We 3 of us from Bangalore are planning a trip to Leh from Sept 30th to Oct 7th...We are planning to fly from Bangalore to Delhi and then by roads to Leh. On the way back we are planning to fly from Leh to Delhi and then to Bangalore. Can somebody help us out with the weather conditions in Leh in Oct 1st week ? Will the snowfall create road blocks at this time of the year.
Please advice...
