trekking in feb.

I dont think it would be advisable to go to tapovan in feb...I think there will be a lot of snow still(upto 6 feet)...Even reaching Gomukh might be difficult but still possible...

Hi,
I hope you are aware that you are going to move on a glacier and camp in high altitude and so need to take all the required precautions. It is a cold place and so do carry sufficent woolens. All the best

Hi Kgemini, and welcome to IM. Since you do not have receipt of admin mail enabled on your profile - this is a short message to remind you that the posting of the same message across multiple threads is not allowed as per the forum rules for IM.....

"# No Multiple Postings (1 point for 10 days): Find the board you want your post in and post it. Posting the same message in multiple forums is not allowed."

I'm sure you can understand that multiple postings can cause confusion for people trying to reply - plus it fills up various threads with the same question and identical answers. Accordingly you duplicate posts in the other trekking threads have been removed.

Thanks for your help with this.

25 certainly.A 4 man ridge tent of standard quality [trek purpose] usually takes 5000-6000/-.Hence charge @250 will just be too high.Agencies take 50-60 for new tent and 25 for old.
For Nandanvan old tent can make up.

Kgemini, you better carry it from Kolkata.Ubac,Alpine - a lot of agencies are there.
