We had planned to go Ronti in June first week but there was a lot of snow and we even faced fresh snowfall Baghubasa onwards so had to cut it short to Roopkund only.
Point is , you might not be able to reach Ronti in June 1 week. Even the guides and porters are reluctant to take you there at that time.

If you only want to do roopkund best time is end of Sept to first week of October (my opinion) clear sky, less chance of rainfall, little snow at RK.
Let, the young man give a try, if he enjoy then their is no problem. Also you have to look after him in high altitude, any little sign of discomfort should be taken care.

Early October, Roopkund is possible if there is no sudden change in weather.

We are two friends planning to go Roopkund next year in May June, we have a bit of experience in trekking in high altitude and also have required gears ( tent, rucksack, sleeping bags, gaiters, boots etc..). I wanted to ask if we can do this trek by ourselves, I mean without any guide and yeah friend has a bussiness and he is a busy man so if any one can inform about mobile connectivity through the trek.

Mobile connectivity at Roopkund, huh?

Tell yor friend to get an MTNL Mumbai number, this will work on BSNL roaming upto some point beyond Deval. Any other company he can forget.
