Query: Deo Tibba base trek

We are planning a trek to Deo Tibba Base in the 2nd week of october.
Is there a bus to manali from Chandigarh? What are the timings and costs?
Where can we hire rucksacks and sleeping bags in manali? Is it possible at the Mountaineering Institute?
Is it better to get porters from Manali or Jagatsukh? What are the usual rates they take?
Has anybody been to this route recently? How is the weather during mid October. Is there a possibility of fresh snowfall during this period? Will we get snow on the way?

Yes, lotsa buses. All evening. Fares under 250 rupees.

All over Manali, there are lotsa agencies. A F A I K, instt does not rent out eqpmt.

Fresh snowfall may already have occured, but you can go upto Serai... and halfway upto the terminal moraine.

eight to ten hours, depending on mode of transport.
