Pplanning for Chader Tal on 26th sept 2007? advice solicited on date
Hello all
i am new to this forum and also new to the trekking world. So far the only trek i have done is sankri to Jaundhar Glacier via Har-ki-dun. This year i am planning to go to Chandartal via Manali-Sethan-Hampta Pass- Chhatru-Chandratal-Tokpoyongma-baralacha la. I need help from the esteemed members of this forum on fixing the date. I have thought of visiting Chadetal on Purnima night of 26th Sept. Just advice me about the "weather conditions". Will it be rainy all along? Thanks in advance. |

Manali to Baralacha pass
Hi,
The time you have selected is perfect. Hopefully the rains would have been over by that time. Good that you are a group. The route you have selected is good one with mules moving on the trail. So take mules from Manali and take cook and a cook's helper. This way you will be able to enjoy the trek much more. You will have to be self sufficient. VSK |

Hi,
Visiting dates for Chandertaal are 15th May till 15th Sep Remaining you will not find any one by the lake as the last campers providing small functionality of stay would be all gone. So if you have your complete cook, guide and backup - you are good to go but weather can change within minutes above this place. CheerS ~m~
