Possible treks from Mid-October
Hello,
I am planning a trip to India from 7 October to 3 November, i would like to go trekking in northern india, but it seems to be a bit late. 3 years ago, i tried the Indrahar pass in November but we got stuck by a snow storm.. so we did not attempt the crossing (we were alone (2 of us)). I wish i could do some trekking independently, but in sikkim, i found out it is compulsary to get a guide and maybe difficult as well. I am opened to any suggestions and help. Thanks in advance. Hi there
I'd suggest Gerwal/Kumaon areas (last year hubby and I did Kuari Pass in late october, wasn't even very cold) ... how about Milam glacier, Nandadevi base ? Or it's a good time for Sikkim Singalia ridge/ Dzongri to Guicha la). We are looking for a trek late October as well and was considering Rupin Pass or Bhaba pass (Himmachal) but trekking companies do say that there could be delays due to snow storms so now we are considering Milam or Sikkim. ![]() |
