Pindari Glacier Trek, Crowded or not?

I am planning to maybe do the Pindari trek in mid September. Will there be lots of people treking there at that time? Will they be travellers mostly, or mixed with locals?

Hi,
It is a very old trek and you really do not require much as food is available on the route till the very end. If possible see the pics and the story of the trek on himalayancamping.com. It may be of help.

hi,
As regarding that is the best time for bisit Pindari glacier & some peoples(Forginers) are in that time so if you make plan then try to Visit Kafni Glacier or Sunderdhunga valley

Yes-it may or may not be crowded. Schools and colleges visit this trek from BENGAL and KARNATAKA. Gujrat is also famous here.
Much of activity starts near DURGA PUJA...so you have time.
Moroever- you selected good month to be there-I am sure you will be getting very scenic meadows out there. Stay at ZERO POINT for full day....

hiya...
have done the pindari glacier trek solo...! that was my first solo trek and was an amazing experience. i did it in april 2 years back - the snowfall had been less that year and so the passes had opened early. the path was full of rhododendron flowers in all its hues. the best time to do this trek (or for that matter any trek) is the beginning of the season or the very fag end. the beginning is best - because the snow trails and paths are still virginal. the school crowds come in in the summer months with their guided tours and music playing aloud - so it's best to avoid in the months of may and june.
cheers...!!!
