excellento almoraboy

amazing views / pictures but a daring trip. feel like renouncing every material belongings in life and live at those meadows or lakeside. Tunganath has lodgings. How about deoria tal ? these are places where we can escape from the cacaphony of our civilization.

camera 5mp or 8 mp ?

good job.

yes, u can even stay at deoriya tal, the year round. the forest deptt and that small hut in those pics r the places to stay.

i guess it will be even more beautiful in winters.

the camera was a 5 mp, but i had to reduce the size to upload them. the pics uploaded r around 1.5 mp.

What a shame you can't put smaller sized thumbnails on your site, and use them as links to open the bigger pictures. I've had that page loading for about 5 minutes and have only got to see 4 of the 165 photos. I use dialup for internet access at a speed of 45200bps - I am sure there are many people with much slower connections than me.

yeah, i guess there will be a problem with slow users. but only the last few pics r of 1600*1200 resolution. the others were trimmed down to size.

what i guess u can do is open it in a separate windoa and let it download for some time in the background.

Even the first picture is 1032 x 776 pixels !! I would suggest using 300 x 200 for thumnails, or even smaller. Its easy then for anyone to click on a thumbnail if they wish to see the full size. Also, 165 pictures is a lot for one page. Why not create themed galleries, or pages with 10 or 12 images on?

You see, there is a problem with opening it and letting it download in the background - most browsers have a kind of timeout facility in them, so they just end after about 2 MB. you then have to keep refreshing the page, and will anyone bother?

Hoping this is helpful,
Tim in Ireland
