Partners needed for Pindari trek

Hi,

I am doing the pindari glacier trek at the end of this month. We are two persons now. But the more, the merrier. . So, those interested in joining us, pls IM me. I am pasting the itinerary below:

29th April: Reach Loharkhet(KMVN):
There is a KMVN hut at Loharkhet, where we can stay and have lunch.

30th April: Stay at Khati (KMVN) (17kms):
Start early and reach Dhakuri. Have some rest and lunch. Then gentle walk to Khati. KMVN hut is 0.5 km beyond Khati town.

1st May: Stay at Dwali(KMVN) (11kms)
Dwali has quite a reputation as a very beautiful place.

2nd May: Stay at Zero Point at Baba’s Ashram (12kms)

A kilometre before Zero Point, you have the 'best seats in the house', and a Babaji has built himself a lovely place. It is like an amphitheatre, where you are ringed by snow-capped peaks. They are piercingly clear; a sight to behold. It's an amazing place, and it's possible to pitch tent here. You can see the Pindari glacier from here. It is 0.5 km wide and 4 km long.

Beyond Babaji's den, there is a 1 km. walk further up to Zero Point. It is a spectacular place.

3rd May: Dwali: 12kms
Spend sometime exploring the glacier and trek back to Dwali

4th May: Off to Rest house near Kafni Glacier

5th May: Reach the glacier, chill out and walk back to Dwali.
6th May: Song:
Start early: Trek all the way down. Long day. Steep climb before Dhakuri.
7th May: Take a Jeep to Nainital. Chill out in Nainital and night train to Delhi from Kathgodam/Haldwani.

Cheers,
JP

hi
yours itinerary is nice but one thin more you can try to stay in Dhakuri because that is the best place for himalaya view.
From there you can see Mailktoli,Nandakahat,Mrigthuni ,Bhanoti.
One thing more try to go above Pindari gLacier & back to Babaji place from their you can see Nanda Devi Main or east from top to bottom.
From dwali to way of Kafni glacier their is a rest house in Khatya(6kms from Dwali)
If you want any help then ask me.

Hey jyoti , Try to Visit ''Shastradhara''-- source of the Sarayu - You can cut across from Khati, and then come down to Song via Munnar ( abt 2 days ).Get information of the route in Khati .I have not done this route personally .
But I did vist shasthradhara from Song and later trekked towards Munsiyari through the village of Khaljuni .

HI Jyoti,
u r iteneary seems quite interesting . here i would like to suggest is that u should add one more day to u r trek time. This will ease up u r trek a bit. Dwali is a fantastic place from there u hav an amazin view of Mt. Nanda Devi. as me being a frequent traveller to Pindar valley i can give the exact details of the terrain by askin to some of the friends livin there but i hav to write them coz no phone lines r there. I m sayin this coz usually at this time there is lot of snow on the trail from Dwali to Pindari . u hav to be sure if the route is open or not .
