No sense!

The fact is that we moved to Mumbai barely six months ago, one of us (trekker2) is posted in North East India, is down on vacation and hence did not mention about living in Mumbai. What is so strange about the OP? It is not a question to strangers but to the trekking and climbing community on this site. There was no intentional attempt to start another thread; I was just trying to avoid replying to my own post.
Trekker2 apologised to me in person about the comment on education but since his comment was posted on a public forum, he also chose to apologise there. An apology from docgirl2005 was called for anyway for calling the OP “crass”. And you get “bugged” when she does so, which means you condone name calling. As per the posting rules on Indiamike:

No Personal Attacks or Insults: Remember there is a person on the other end of that keyboard. Feel free to discuss opinions, but keep it to the issues. No name-calling or personal insults. All complaints need to be communicated privately using either PM, "Report Post" feature and/or EMail. Please try to keep it fun and friendly.

Trekker2’s questions about the Western Ghats were to get information, since he wanted to do a couple of hikes there since he was down and the monsoon is supposed to be a good time for hiking the Western Ghats. His queries about treks in the Indian Himalaya and Tapovan were for my sake since he has managed to convince me to go trekking and wanted to ensure that my first trek was not my last. So the questions asking detailed information about accommodation and food on treks in India. Since he goes with the army everything is taken care of but that won’t be the case if I go.
You say “no harm done” but I can see posts where someone wants to put us on their ignore list, another has called us “cheats”, “deceitful” and yet another has accused us of abuse. A simple ‘pm’ from you and I would have clarified everything. Instead, you jumped to your own conclusions, before ascertaining the facts.

However = how much, could be a little, could be a lot.

Crass = "indicating such grossness of mind as precludes delicacy and discrimination"

I think in this case more offence is taken than is given.

docgirl2005 has a good reputation here and doesn't normally start insulting people, I had no hesitation in believing that she was not trying to be offensive, just offering her opinion.

However.

This from your brother?

So you are now saying that you started this thread AFTER your brother had managed to convince you to go trekking, strange. (and makes your brothers comment all the more strange). (all the posts you refer to pre-date this thread)

I didn't want clarity just for the moderators; I wanted clarity for all of the members. (& I'm still not convinced).

A few people have added you to their 'ignore' list, that’s no great deal.

I'm sure I'm at the top of the 'ignore' list table, I often jump in with both feet and sometimes get it wrong, but that's the way I am, and I won't lose any sleep over it.

Methinks 'Aristocrat'/'trekker2'/'pinnochio' protests too much...

You are quite right Skell, although the inconsistency of this with the OP is quite hilarious!

I'm wondering if Ikuru might come back as CharleneDD?

Ikuru? Hey! Please come back as someone!.

Steven: I know it would be a shame, but if you delete the avatar thread Ikuru will have to return to work his way back up to 1,000!

That was my origenall plan Nick, but I wont tell you that... It´s really a forthcomming secret... And I AM here! Always pressent... Always silent... Ehrm...

I have to be more quiet for a while thats all. Dont really have the time for all of this, since I´m doing something challenging that I like now, besides this...

So basicly what your saying is, "rules are ment to be broken as long as your having "fun" doing so". Is that it?

The news that CharleneDD is actually Steven_Ber is the worst news ever to break on IM! Just compare the photos!
