Or if you are not that intrepid you could try the "Monastery Loop" in West Sikkim.

Thanks to you both for your prompt response. But sorry, I forgot to mention our restrictions
Actually Sandakphu-phalut is already planned for April/May. And we are essentially interested in snowpeaks view than forests... So, kindly guide us accordingly. Your help would be highly appreciated... Please please please respond positively ![]() |

Tweety, what about the Green Lake trek near to the Zemu glacier? You might like to take a look in the Sikkim Forum. This is one of the relevant threads:
Green lake in North Sikkim but there are many other interesting threads in the Sikkim Forum for you to browse and get inspiration. Happy travels! |

Sorry, I really don't know. Maybe you need to consult a specialist agency in Gangtok. Good luck!

High altitude routes will be closed during that period. You can try for the trek from Hilley to Varsey.Small trek but very beautiful. There are also some options of other village treks in that period.

Basically we have total 7 days in hand for doing the actual trekking. Please suggest places which could be fit in 7 days. |

Seven days could have got you close to snow peaks, as you want, in other seasons, but not in winter.December is not the trekking season.
Most village/ forest treks that I am aware of can be done within 3-4 days, not more. For e.g the Hilley -Varsey-Dentam trek or the Ravangla-Menam- Borong trail. You can try to combine two of them.Else you can try exploring some new routes with the help of locals, a more adventurous option. ![]() |
