Need some information. Planning a trek to Tapovan

hello,
i and 3 of my friends are planning a trek to tapovan during the second week of october, 2009. i would like to know what type of weather to expect at tapovan/nandanvan. will we come across snow?

also, i would like to know of any place in mumbai that provides basic tent on rent.

hey thanks for that info. i just read in other threads that the temple gates close on 17th october.
spoke to someone at the DFO number, he said the trek closes on 15th october. now i m planning to go before 15th but is it possible that i can come down on 16th ?
