Thumbs up Mountains Group for Women !!!

All Ladies!!
Interested for a mountain trek in Himalayas .If not ,at least we can have some group for all those women who are nature and mountain lovers ?

I have found a company run by Sumitra Sengupta in delhi who organizes women treks. She has a great idea of women travelling and exploring together. A relief to see something like that where women can travel alone , and pursue their desire to explore nature and enjoy traveling independently.

Check this site : www.wowsumitra.com
The women on wanderlust (The WOW group)

Lets discuss this idea, what do you think?

Cheers

S

Hi I'd be interested definitely. Is there any leeway for bringing a 7 year old boy along if the hike's an easy one?? Or is this only for women? I'm a single mom in Hong Kong, kind of hard to just leave my boy...

This is a very important requirement

Yes I agree

Groups for women are a necessity.

Wow thing I have come across. Somehow I felt that they are more into out of India kind of tours, and they are expensive.

We wanted to do something like this in our group as well.. somehow it never worked out, as we could never work out a group which was feasible to do the trip.. so finally the idea fizzled out..

I guess the best way it would work is to have an independent travelling club of women, who are disconnected to any travel house.. and once they have worked up a group and a travel plan, then they could approach travel houses and just hop on like clients.. travelling as a group would automatically give them the benefits of groups.

It looks like a good idea. It would be nice if short-duration, within India trips are arranged. I could see signing up for something like that, but have no use for international tour groups.
