Instead of kathgodam you can drop at Moradabad or Bereily also.Moradabad to Champawat by jeep and night stay. Nextday to Munsiyari in the afternoon.Keep the 3rd at Musiyari to get the Inerline Permit, guide and porter etc. From the 4th day proceed for trekking.

Hi,
As itinerary is good but i want to kno that you had done any programme before.
You can do also Nanda devi base camp from that trek itinerary is like given below.
Martoli to Pachu village
Pachu village to Nanda devi base camp & back to Pachu village or you can stay there(nanda devi base camp).
Pachu village to millam glacier then to Millame village
Milam village to Martoli or railkot
If you pln for Nanda Devi base camp then you want ten or other equipment.
You can do one another trek from Martoli to Nanda devibase camp

Well,
Initially I designed the itinerary to cover NDBC .
However people travelling with me are not as lucky as I am in case of getting leaves from office
So ..
Had to cut down the trip to 15 days and promised NDBC for the next visit

Can possibly neone provide me a phone number of Munisiyari or any travel agent with whom I can have a chat about the itinerary and things to expect ..

Giving the name of the person to be contacted is quite helpful. Ganga Ram is a guide. Are the others too guides or are they the porters.

Don't Skip Nanda Devi (Base) Camp

If you take any experienced guide as suggested it can be done in the scheduled time. For that here is the modified itinerary.

June 7 Thursday Day 7 : Martoli to pachhu./ Ghangarh (3-4 hours) Can be completed in early morning. The rest day may be rest day.

June 8 Friday Day 8 : Pachhu to Nanda Devi (Base)Camp and back to Pachhu. It's a tough day but it' worth to go there. It's not exactly the base camp but from here one can have best view of Nanda Devi. The correct route to NDBC goes from Martoli which is quite tough and the trek route is in very bad shape due to land sliding. (Refer Lonely Planet - Trekking in Indian HImalaya)

June 9 Saturday DAY 9 : Pachhu - Milam glacier - Milam Village. You can trek this day only with experienced guide. Visit Milam Glacier from opposite side, cross it to reach Milam village. It will be a circle trek.

June 10 Sunday Day 10 : Milam – Martoli (As per original schedule)

I have trekked to Milam Glacier in May 2004 as per your plan only. As we were also runnig short of time, we could'nt go to NDBC but really miss it. We met one group with Trekking agency from Almora, who did the same trek as detailed above and I think it's the best route.

Suggestions from experienced trekkers are needed here, Is there any flaw in the above schedule.

Happy outdoor,

Outdoor Adventure.

Well,
I included NDBC in my original schedule but skipped it after receiving various advices from senior trekkers .
Well given the situation that we are a bunch of excited and amateur trekkers , I kind of consoled myself that safety is first .and NDBC can be done later with more experince ..and ofcourse we have our Time Constraint.
Can neone tell me whether we are expecting snow during June in Milam and do we need to carry sleeping bags ? .

You are in the Himalaya. You will "touch" snow and return. Night temps in June will be around 5 deg to 8 deg at the higher camps. I know ppl who take sleeping bags for temps as high as 20 degrees Celsius.
