Hi,
I have not done this trail. I waited to see if some one replies to this thread. Though the trail is shown on the map I do not think many people are or have done it. How did you hear about this trek. Also the Khai got leads to MIYAR Glacier from where the trail goes to Padum. For Darcha the trail from Tharang goes over the Tarasalamu pass reaches the Mayar camping ground and then the Kuddu camping ground. finally reaching Jankar Sumdo where the trail towards Singo la is going and is quite frequented. The pic of Jankar sumdo camping ground are on the Darcha to Padum photos on himalayancamping.com From Darcha you come to Milang and following the Milang nala reach the Tempo la across which lies the Gangring glacier. From here following the Khoksar nala you reach Khoksar. I think some planning will be required to find out more details of the trail if it has to be done. Anyway, it has opened the area further for me as seating at Jankar Sumdo I asked the man who runs the one room hotel there as to where the route along the Nala goes, but never bothered to open and see the place on the map. May be I plan this one for next year. VSK |

Hi! If you mean what is called in most books the Miyar nallah, 2 friends of mine did it in 2004. They went organized with one of the leading trekking agencies in Manali(and they were very happy with them) and after having done the Pin Parvati trek and the Bara Shigri until Concordia, they said that the Miyar trek was the easiest. It involves a couple of days of walking on the Miyar glacier and the crossing of the Kang La. They enjoyed it and had no problem whatsoever.
