Manali-Leh road

I want to do the Manali-Leh road. I am traveling alone, arriving in Delhi on the 25th September.
What is the best way to do this trek
Where do I fly to
Who do I fly with
Where can a find a angency or book a porter/s

Your question is not at all clear! You give the impression that you want to trek from Manali to Leh, a distance of 250kms. !!!

What is it that you want to do ? Trek in the Manali region; or travel from Manali to Leh?

I would like to do some long (10 days+) treks in the Leh region

Hi Adam,

If you want to do some treks in Ladakh take a look around the Ladakh and Zanskar section on IM. http://www.indiamike.com/india/forumdisplay.php?f=31 there's a lot of suggestions on diferent kind of treks.

The road from manali to leh is usually done with car/bus even some are fit enough to do it on a bicycle

!

From some parts of this road starts some treks to Padum (zanskar or other parts). As i've read in late september the road can be closed so if you want to reach ladakh maybe is worth booking a flight from Delhi to Leh and once there do a trek in Ladakh.

Check flights in indian airlines and jet airways, both flight daily to Leh.
