Am planning to go to manali in January ? is snow ensured ? Also chose Manali because of its proximity to flights and good balance of urban and wild mountainous surrounds.Any suggestions how to spend 3-4 days in winter there ?
Any other suggestions of similar places not too far from Delhi to fly ? |

I think so, at least near Rohtang pass it would be snowed out.
But let us see who can tell you for sure. |

100% snow at Rohtang in January.
But sometimes flights are difficult in that season. It's a small and risky airport as it's in a narrow valley surrounded by mountains. Due to weather condition, they cancel flights frequently.
