looking to join trek Oct 10 or 11 north of Rishikesh area
I am looking to join a group for some trekking Rishikesh and North. I have from Oct 10 -15 and need to be on a train to Delhi on Oct 16th. If anyone has ideas or wants to have another person to lower the costs, I would be game. Id love to get a good glimpse of the mountains and was keen on Gangotri area but heard it will be too cold...anyone think otherwise and planning to do it?? Or have other ideas? Thanks so much for any help!

hi,
from rishikesh u could go to the "Neelkanth Mahadev" temple(Lord Shiva's temple) ..it is a trek of about 12kms or around 30 kms if u take a shared jeep.... also u could go to Devprayag and from there u could go another 30 kms to reach the temple of Chandrabadni devi, a temple almost in the clouds atop a mountain.. also around 62 kms away is Chamba...again a very nice little hill ststion...the list is endless if u need any kind of help then u could e mail me at ajaysahrawat@hotmail.com |
