Hi there,
I am planning to do the Kodaikanal - Munnar trek in the first week of October. Any suggestions or information from anybody who has done it, is much appreciated. - Is getting permissions from the Forest Dept. difficult? - Can we do it in 3 days? CHeeRS |

Few blogs and threads are already in the rounds about this
http://www.chennaitrekkers.org/2008/...rch-21-23.html http://timelessodyssey.blogspot.com/...to-munnar.html http://picasaweb.google.com/subbukl/...nar_trek_feb06 Check them for some more details. As far as I know, You need permission from both the sides. Munnar (Kerala) and Kodai (Tamilnadu) You also tend to cross the paths of panthers. So you need to take permission before embarking on this route. Not sure about what the permission says about camping. I heard from others its a life time experience. Should try once.
