Sphire route
Hi, did the Shongtong - Tangling - Meling kanda sphire route in 2005 but to the pilgrim cave only... attached modified 100k Russian map: http://en.poehali.org/maps/100k--h44-013.html
Maybe I show the Shivling a little bit to high at the map. But the Shivling is definitely higher than 5000m! My Indian friends told me about a hard climb over boulders - 4h ascend and 3h descend from/to the pilgrim cave!
The locals do this in 2 days...

we did the trek from 10 to 16 Sep 2011 and it was very cold at lalanti. So i would advise you against planning this trek in after first week of Oct, latest.
