Goechala Trek

Hi,

We are about 5 friends plan to go to goechala during may 2008.
I searched in this forum, but couldn't get much details about this trek done during may.
I would like to know if somebody has done this during may season.
If so can i get the details like how will be the weather during this season, is this the right time, then it would be useful if some body can give me details about the guide etc..

Thanks Chetan

Thumbs up

I haven't done it, so may be I am not the suitable person to answar your query, but I think you should mention the exact time, like first of May, mid of May or end of May. In my opinion, it will not be problematic if you start mid or end of May, first of May - you may find melting snow from near Zemathang. I am going to do this trek in Oct'08.

Happy trekking

Goechala

I trekked to Goechala last May and generally had good weather during the entire duration of my trek. I used the services of Barap Bhutia of http://www.sikkim-holidays.com/ and found them to be very good. My guide's name was Dawa and he was quite competent and accomplished. If you are a group of five friends then you should have no problems at all. Have a safe and enjoyable trek.

Late half of May will be a good season..You can take the help of some travel agency or else you will find guides form Yuksam. But there have been a lot of complains regarding guides/portrs in this route so better if you take help from someone with a good reference. All the best..

Hi Praks, We are also planning for Dzongri trek in may. How much these services charge per person? Can they adjust the trek schedule as per our plan?
