Gochela trek in april 09

Hi guys,

I might be going to Gochela if everything goes as planned in April.I'll get back witht he itinerary later just wanted to know from the people who has already done the trek what are the expenses we are two people at this point of time.I heard from one person,the yak costs around 200 per day,what else??

yes we are planning in later part of april possibility is we'll start on 23 or 24 th...let me know if the dates are okas i'll be leaing delhi on 21 st will stay at home for few days before the trek

guys I have come up with the itinerary however I am not so confident if thats correct...i was a bit concerned about return part,also the avalibility of trekkers hut in April or do we have to take a tent...Pls help me with the distances from one point to another on return and the best place to camp or avoid...

24 th to yuksom start early reach around 3.30 pm...rest take care of yak and rations for the trek
25 th start the trek-yuksom to bakhim/Tshoka 12 km 6-7 hours.
26 th bakhim/Tshoka to Dzongri 9 km /5-6 hrs
27 th rest at dzongri
28 th dzongri -kokchrung-thansing-lamune8 km -6 1/2 hrs
29 th lamune-samiti-gochela-lamune
30 th Lamune - phedang
1 may Phedang to yuksom 8 1/2 hrs
2 may yuksom to darj
3 may free day incase we delay somewhere

hi guys what is the nearest point where we can camp at simiti...i have read that nowadays its not possible to camp at samiti lake.

hi,

The weather was good but a bit foggt at times we experienced a snowfall on our rest day at dzongri...the gurdes are in plenty we paid 300 for guide cum cook...150 for porter ..u can read my trip account at..
