Apparently a form of naphtha, which doesn't actually help me much further http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naphtha

Synonyms given there are shellite, white spirit or Coleman (camp) fuel.

Primus Turistskij

Primus Turistskij2

It says it uses White Gas.

Still, I would expect a stove like that to have a pump.

PS: Then on This page, they say that the Optimus 99 (similar to the one on this topic) is "self pressurised" and that there is no need for pumping.

Hi
Just like to say that have one givewn to me 1963 and still works (on petrol)
Put petrol and close screwtop, turn the handle a few times to clean orficeand close with turn of handle. Put your hand on the tank and warmth from your hand will make the petrol flow into the cap. Light with needle closed up and as flame begin. to die out open needle if head is hot enough can start cooking.
Did not know they were still around
Good luck

And another white gas stove More or less explaining how to use it.

PS: International Fuel Names
(just anote about "denaturated alcohol", which is NOT the "ethanol", "ethanol 100% or 95%" mentioned in the table for some countries, as denaturated alcohol contain methanol, which is toxic - causes blindness)

PPS: What type of fuel is right for you

Propane is a gas (liquefied by pressure), while Coleman Fuel/White gas is a liquid.

Some more info!
The self pressure comes from the heat of the flame on the tank (should be metal gard between flame and tank). The heat expands the air and fuel and make fuel come out of stove head.As long as there is fuel (Petrol) will heat.
If remeber hold 1/4 Liter and should burn for around 1/2 Hour
