Favorite Treks
What are your three most favorite treks? It doesn't matter if they're in India or Nepal. It can be a raft trip also.
If you haven't made these treks yet but have studied and dreamed by all means list them as a dream trek, |

I trekked to Kanchenjunga - it was fantastic, an out of this world experience.
I also did lots of day trekking in a very snowy Sangla Valley - that was nearly fatal. I'd love to do the trek to Concordia and K2 base camp - arguably the greatests mountain view on the planet.

Selecting three best treks would actually compel me to open my log books... even then it would be difficult.
Have just come back [five hours ago] from a 21 day holiday and a fantastic trekking experience. I did Pin Parvati Pass[5319m] followed by Pin Bhaba Pass[4760m]. Manikaran to Mantalai & across Pin Parvati Pass to Mud. [pronounced mooood] Then Mud to Pin Bhaba Pass and across to Kafnu and the apple orchards of Kinnaur. This easily becomes a "top-three" trek of my lifetime. Pin Parvati was strenuous, beautiful, rugged and a mind opener. Pin Bhaba was less strenuous, like a dream of the Swiss Alps, and almost a movie sequence for its heart-wrenching beauty. The other two treks i'll have to give it a thought....

I lived in coastal Karnataka for 4 years and there are a lot of unknown places in the Western Ghats.. we have trekked a lot of places in the area..most of them guided by the locals. Amazing places with not a soul in sight!!

Annapurna, because of Machapuchare.
Would love to do the Khumbu but mostly to see Ama Dablam, it isn't always the biggest mountains that impress me most.

The Annapurna circuit! You also don't have to bring much with you as there's hotels and restaurants along the whole route!
