Bedni Bugyal in Mid August

How many days are required to go to Bedni and Ali Bugyal starting from Delhi and back? I am guessing atleast 4 days and 5 nights are required. Can it be done in less time?
Also how good it would be to go in August (independence day extended weekend)? I have gone though Prashant Joshi's (Almora Boy's) blog and it seemed a do-able task in rains too!
If anyone has phone numbers of reliable guides for the Bugyals, kindly post them.

Thanks

leave delhi by night bus, reach kathgodam earl mornong. go to almora. then kausani. then gwaldam. then loharjung. stay there for the night. zzzzzz.....

wake up in the morning, have a breakfast of paranthaas (ask for some local shishuna ka saag if you can), leave for wan on jeep. from wan, arange for guide/porter at wan's very own supermarket bisht brothers general store), reach bedni by late afternoon.
next day, early morning, leave for ali. spend some hours in ali and then come back to wan. you will have to get a night taxi to lohajung from wan - so you might have to book a whole jeep for the same. don't go about alone in the jungles in night - you might bump into a leopard.

Its the same. The saag is very edible and all the rash producing chemicals are supposedly "heated and evaporated" out.

The leaves are boiled to extract all the toxins out. Narendra informed me that nettle spinach has gone out of fashion somewhat.

Could you briefly list all the places where both these delicacies are available? (even on prior order)?
