HMI used to be famous for it's quality of traninig. Although course study is same but HMI happen to have a military touch more than NIM. I am sure that in all these years- they will be carrying on their name and fame as it used to be in 90's.
You should concentrate on your fitness and take things easy. You are going to learn not only mountaineering but this will be a multi-dimensional experience. Wishing you good luck !! |

I think you should call up the institute and check. NIM specifically asks for medical details concerning the eye in its medical form. BTW where are u applying? The october BMC at HMI is co, while NIM has a ladies course only in may...

Priya
I run for 40 mins for 5 day/week on grass. Hopefully towards the end of the month I will be able to stretch it to an hour.. And I hike every sunday around 20-25 kms with 7kg load. Thats the maximum I can put into my backpack. If u r wondering what I take with me -you will laugh at this- well it is my 5kg dumbell(!) and 2L of water. Monday is the rest day. I do strenght training on tuesday and friday. well thats the most I can do at the moment to prepare for october course. If you need any help, say for planning a training program, let me know.
