 | anyone been to Raktavarn glacier recently In my recent trek, I passed near Raktavarn glacier and found that glacier has heavily cracked. There used to be a steep ridge in 2004 near Gaumukh which used to connect to the left of Raktavarn glacier for expeditions to Mt. Saifi and Thelu. Now this ridge has totally washed out. Some alternate route may be needed to reach it or Ropes may have to be fixed on the mountain side to facilitate crosssing over to the other side. Anyone been to this area recently? Is the cross over to Raktavarn glacier as difficult as it looks from Gangotri glacier?
