Anybody for Har-Ki-Doon in May'09??

Hi,

I am planning for YHAI Har-Ki-Doon trek this early may. among 1) Sar-pass 2) Saukundi Pass and 3) Har-ki-Doon, i have zerod on Har-Ki-Doon as for the best info on blogs.

In the mean time i got a friend in orkut from mumbai who has done couple of himalayan treks. As per his experience, if we are able to get a good group, we can trek both Har-Ki-Doon and BORASU Pass which are really beautiful on our own as he know porters and guides in there. This is because YHAI treks are planned to accomadate even aged people and novice trekkers so covers very less distance in a day.

if anybody / group willing to join us in this, please let us know...

Thanks,
Charan

If this trek is arranged by YHAI, I would highly recommend newcomers to join the trek.

Its not the YHAI one.
The YHAI one starts at Sankri, goes up Kedarkantha peak, comes down to Seema and then does Har ki doon. Its like two treks in one.
The discussion here is on an alternate itinerary covering Har ki doon and Borasu instead of Kedarkantha.

My husband and I have booked for the Har-Ki-Dun trek in April, we would have preferred to do it in May (perhaps more flowers and plants?)but we get leave only in April
We contacted Mr Chain Singh Rawat of the Har ki Dun Protection and Mountaineering Association (HPMA). Here is their link
