Advice on weather conditions : purola , mori, jakhol
Hi Guys,
I will be going to Jakhol in Tons Valley on 21st of Oct to attend a friends wedding.. Now that he has already left for his village. I am unable to ask him how will be the weather like in jakhol. I have heard that place is famous for Duryodhana's temple. And trekkers love this place.. so please let me know what cloths should I be taking. Hope to get some gud pics of valley and marriage ceremony.. |

Oh boy.. I need to quickly plan out for my clothings.. and shoes. I was not in a mood to carry much of clothes.
I will definitely get lot of information about that place. and of course pictures. |

Weather
I was there 2 weeks ago and the weather wasn't too cold yet. But things have gotten significantly cooler in Mussoorie the past few days so I think the colder weather is starting to set in. Those previous guesstimations while maybe a bit on the cold side might be about right. I would prepare for cooler weather.

Alright. And in hills one can never predict the weather.. I will be prepared.. Started taking out my sweaters .. strong smell of moth balls

Guesstimate
Yes, I have deliberately erred on the colder side. You cannot afford to get caught in the Himalaya on the wrong side of a cold spell. Even ordinary bus travel becomes a cold and windy hell.
