Hi Maheshr. I've moved your post to its own thread so that hopefully it will get a few more replies (also check out some of the related links at the bottom).

I had done this trek in Aug'93 with my 20 colleagues. There is no need to take tents or food supplies during pilgrimage season (May-Sept). Many make-shift dabhas are operating in the route. We stayed overnight at the following places in our Aug'93 trek.

Pangu : Food Corporation of India's Godown.(It may be possible for home stay in the village). alternatively, there is good staying arrangement in Narayan Ashram which is about 5 kms diversion from the trekking route.
Sirkha : ITBP Transit Camp. We found ITBP very helpful in the entire trekking route.
Lakhanpur : Can stay in wayside dabhas.
Budhi: PWD Inspection Bunglow.
Garbyang : Primary School.
Gunji : Home stay (our guide's own house).
Kuti : Primary School.
Jollingkong : KMVN's Fibre glass house. ITBP camp provided free tea to all trekkers/pilgrims.

I presume, this trek must have now attain the status of a tea-house trek .
