Tiruvannamalai to Chennai travel by Train. Need Guidance
My parents are traveling from Tiruvannamalai to Chennai and prefer traveling by Train. Is there a direct train from Tiruvannamalai to Chennai. Alternatively what public transport is available.

If you prefer traveling by train then take a train from Vellore to Tiruvannamalai.
There are frequent buses from CMBT for Tiruvannalmalai.

Bus will be best in that circuit. There are direct trains between chennai and tiruvanamalai during festival days but again it's low priority pilgrim train which will take 1.5 times travel time compared to bus journey.
There are Express / Non-stop buses between tiruvanamalai and chennai which covers the distance in 3 to 3.5 hours straight with no stoppings in between and frequency is 15 minutes once in day time.
Roads will be super-fine.
