Tiruvannamalai during Karthikai Deepam

Hi all,

I am planning to travel to Tiruvannamalai for a week in November and my dates coincide with Karthikai Deepam. I am wondering if I should try and plan my trip for a quieter time in November, though i will only be in India for three weeks..
Has anyone been there during that period and can share experiences? Any major cons other then shortage of accommodations?

Hi,
Karthikai Deepam is tiruvanamalai is the most important festival their. The major problem you will be facing will be shortage of accomodations, restuarants will be packed and it will be over crowded.

Thanks for your reply. Yes,I think I will try to move my stay for a few days before the festival, which hopefully will not be packed, and stay one or two days during the festival for the experience of it..
