Thyagaraja Music Festival 2012

Anyone know the dates for this festival in Thiruvaiyaru? Let me know if you are also going, and we can meet up!

From January 9th to 13th of 2012. 13th January is the aradhana and the Pancharatna Kritis will be sung on that day.

How easy is getting accommodation during that period? And would restaurants be closed?(Someone told me so!)

You have to either stay at Kumbakonam or Thanjavur. I think you may get accommodation. Free Food will be supplied at the venue where the festival will be happening. Restaurants will also be open.
