I think you may have to skip Tiruchendur.

Previous Night - After sunset, proceed to Madurai by Train / Bus.

Day -1 - Meenakshi Temple, Thirumalai Naicker Mahal, Thiruparankundram. If it gets completed in the morning session itself, proceed to Rameswaram and stay.

Day -2 - Rameswaram, Dhanushkodi and back to Madurai for stay.

Day -3 - Azhagar Kovil, Pazhamuthircholai.

If you have to start off the trip from Kanyakumari, I would suggest you to do Tiruchendur first. It is an 4 hour drive from Kanyakumari, after which, you may proceed to Rameswaram for the overnight. Once Rameswaram is completed, you might leave for Madurai. All the other places you have mentioned are in and around Madurai and can be completed in half a day or maybe a day. My suggestion would be,

Day 1 - Kanyakumari
Day 2 - Travel to Rameswaram, visiting Tiruchendur enroute. Overnight Rameswaram.
Day 3 - Rameswaram temple darshan. Leave for Madurai. Overnight Madurai.
Day 4 - Start with Meenakshi Amman Temple by 6.30 AM, you can see all the other temples before lunch.

This only covers 3 abodes. The rest would be Palani, Swami Malai and Tiruthani. Just for info.

Hi...

Reading this list itself makes me feel blessed. Siruvachur is a great choice btw. If you have time, check on a Navagraha Temple in Pazhur, near Trichy on the Karur Road (some 7 kms from Chattiram Bus Stand). This happens to be my native and the highlight about this Navagraha Sthalam is that all the grahas here are with their wives, their vaahanam and their ayuthams, which cannot been seen anywhere. We have loads of people visiting this temples on Saturdays. If there is time, you may also consider Thirupullani, Uthirakosa Mangai and Devipattinam, all around Rameswaram, in Ramnad.

Wishing you a very happy journey,

Regards

Prasanna

My recommendation for stay at Madurai is New College House; don't miss food at Hotel Sabari diagonally opposite New College House.

For Kanniyakumari, I recommend Vivekananda Kendra. Vegetarian food at Vivekananda Kendra is also good and economical.

You may consider TTDC's Hotel Tamil Nadu, as it offers rooms with some great views of the ocean and is right on the shore. All the attractions of Kanyakumari are in a walkable distance from here...

Raj,

Purely depends on your budget. Madurai is a very commercial business oriented town and offers all kind of accommodations and all most reputed groups have their properties. So, if you can indicate your preferences or budget, I may suggest. I use Fortune Pandian. And in Thiruchendur, try Sivamurugan, stayed there in the 1st week and have food at Mani Iyer's (stick to South Indian). Sorry, couldn't resist telling this as I am a serious foodie.

Regards
