Tamil Nadu in Pongal and then to Lanka.

This conversation left me thinking, is there any way by which I can reach Tamil Nadu. A simple search on the net, and I figured out my train- Tamil Nadu Sampark Kranti, exactly 7 hours from then, and I have now reached Chennai, in the general compartment, heading towards Trichy. I am in Tamil Nadu, for Pongal and Beyond. I want your help to plan a memrable trip. also, I wish to go to Pondicherry, Chennai, and then, maybe SriLanka. I have got my passport and have heard that Srilanka has the facility of Visa on arrival for Indians. I want someone to confirm this too. Also, Lou Wilson has got a good idea of this place, so if he is reading this, please help.
