sweet cafe in pondy

just wanted to log a quick recommendation...

the bindaas cafe in pondicherry (which as far as i know isn't featured the guides - lp, etc, and which was completely deserted when we were there) is a really sweet place and definitely recommended if you find yourself wandering around in the eastern part of the city.

it's above a 'creative handicrafts boutique' called touchwood!, on 44 nidarajapayer street, about a 5 minute walk away from the market. the cafe itself is on a roof terrace full of potted plants, bric-a-brac and bizarre bits of colourful furniture - seats made out of bicycle rickshaw seats, etc.

they serve snacks and drinks (no booze) - the 'power cherry' drink is fantastic.

During my four months stay in Pondy, I had at Bindas'café my ginger lemon tea, every two days.
It's a very peaceful place and one of my little dog preferred one!
The staff and the owners( he is french, she is indian) are very friendly!
