Please let know the no of days you have planned...?
Based on which we can suggest you a detailed plan. Hiring a cab from chennai is actually the best decision. Regards B.S.Prasad |

hi prasad,
what can be the other alternatiave ? chennai-pondi-tanjur-rameshwaram-madurai-kanyakumari-trivandram-kovalam-allepey-kochi-kodai-ooty-mysore-bangalore. As kodai is only 4 hours journey from madurai, i thaught he can cover kodai first then visit kanyakumari, kerala and after visiting kochi he can go to ooty via kovai. Is their a better alternative than this, please post, |

Rajtheleo, I hope you have given yourself at least a month for this ambitious itinerary, otherwise you will be tired out just by the journey.

I can well imagine their plight! I feel cramped if I sit in a car for more than 2 hours.

Rajtheleo,
Either increase the number of days or reduce the number of places. U wont be able to cover all these places. No point in going upto kodai for a one night stay. Cut out a couple of places and you will be better off......Based on your itinerary - options for places to cut off include - kodai - u can avoid the up and down travel from rameshwaram. else finish ur trip at ooty and fly back from coimbatore. my sincere suggestions. ribhu |

I see that you have planned your trip for 29th Dec 2009 to 13th Jan 2010 (15 days). I also see that you are planning to visit 10 places.
Do you think it is feasible? |

Hi,
Here are some points to note down : 1) Your plan states that you are not interested in visiting madurai then why dont you get down at kodai road railway station and then take a cab/bus to kodai. 2)] The road to rameshwaram from kodai is via madurai. 3) You dont get direct buses from rameshwaram to kanyakumari, you have to go to madurai and then board a different bus to kanyakumari. |

Hi,
1. What is your mode of travel ? Hope it is hired cab. 2. Onward ...why bangalore....chennai - kodai road is better. The number of trains are many. Get down at kodai road and head for kodai...have a light breakfast enroute or reach kodai and have a good brunch. 3. Rest of plan appears just about feasible...if u r in ur own vehicle..... so u can think in terms of hiring a vehicle out of a madurai based travel agent.....release the vehicle at bangalore...they will charge you for blore - madurai return also. Cheers ribhu |
