road condition between bangalore - Yercaud

I am driving to Yercaud tomorrow morning. I have heard that the road condition beyong krishnagiri is very bad.. any first any info on this would be appreciated.
Also could you recommend me any decent accomodation in yercaud??

Yunum(Aborted), Kedar Tal, Roopkund, Junargali pass, Sundardhunga Valley, Tapovan, Rudranath, Chandrashila peak, Beas Kund, Triundh, Chudhar peak,Dodital.
