| Requesting help on Tirunelveli Trip hi my family is planning to tour tenkasi and tirunelveli for 3 days. day 1: reach Tenkasi from Chennai at 9: 00 am and this day is pretty much finalised on certain temple visits in and around tenkasi including courtallam day 2 : early morning start from Tenkasi. there have been suggestions on some places but I am not sure which directions and the suggested order of places places in mind : ambasamudram,Manimuthar Dam, Karaiyar dam and Agasthiyar falls, Kallidaikurichi and Pathamadai papanasam and bhramadesam Reach Tirunelveli in the afternoon, check in hotel Evening Kanthimathi Nellaiyappar Temple Sankaranainarkoil , situated 56 km from Tirunelveli on the Madurai-Kollam rail route day 3: Tiruchendur and on the way Krishnapuram Temple Krishnapuram temple is situated 12 km from Tirunelveli at Krishnapuram village on Tirunelveli- Tiruchendur main road. Sri Vaikundanatha Perumal Temple :dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the form of Vaikuntapathi Swami, is located on Tiruchendur road in Srivaikuntam about 37 km from Tirunelveli. * night train to chennai please let me know if day 2 and day 3 plan makes sense. i have no idea on day 2 and managed to get the names of these places from internet. please also let me know a good place for stay ( fit for family) and food in tenkasi. thanks and regards subbu |

| Hotel Thavamani near old bus stand is a good budget option. You can also try Hotel Tamil Nadu Day 2 leave Tenkasi, reach Papanasam visit the temple. Then visit Manimuthar Fall, Agasthiyar falls, Bani Theertham, Kallidaikurichi and Pathamadai. Leave for Tirunelveli Day 3 is perfect. |

| thanks for the suggestion is krishna tourist home a good one in Tenkasi? i heard it is very expensive, any idea how much a double room costs? thanks subbu |

| Hi Subbu, Try to visit a few more temples ( among the Nava Tirupathis ) apart from Srivakuntam. You can add Retaai Tirupathi which is on the banks of the Tamaraiparani river and also Alwarthirunagiri ( Adhinadha Swami Temple ) and Nammalwar Padal Petra Sthalam . They are enroute from Tiruchendur to Tirunelveli Highway. Raghu Quote:

| Hi Friend day 2 is slightly over loaded. Leave manimuthar falls in the itinery Start from Tenkasi at 5 am Reach papanasam temple by 6.15 have darshan. Agasthiyar falls opens only at 7 am . have a visit. then move to Karaiyar bNatheertham, ANd while returning visit sorimuthayyanar temple and Servalar dam which are near to karayar. In the evening proceed to tirunelveli My suggestion is for nature lovers, you can add temples like Brahmadesam, ETC |

| Tirunelveli visit Hi You can stay at krishna tourist home Tenkasi.Take a taxi and visit Courtalam and dont spent much time there. Visit Achankoil and enroute take bath in Kumbavuruti falls.On return visit Thirumalai koil near Panpozhil.Evening have dharsan at Thenkasi temple. Day 2: Engauge a taxi/car and Start early morning to Papanasam. Take bath in Agasthiar falls and Banatheertham.On reurn visit Papanasam Temple,Sivasailam temple, Brammadesam, Thiruppudaimaruthoor, Mannarkoil, Aththazhanallur etc and stay at Thirunelveli. Day 3 : Engauge a taxi/car and Start early morning and visit Nava Thiruppathi ( 9 Vishnu temples situated between Srivaikundam to Thenthirupperai on the banks of River Thambirabarani). Have dharsan at Thiruchendur at evening and proceed to Thirunelveli. Quote:
