Religious Itinerary -- Help help help Please

I am reaching Chennai on 27th Sep (Sunday) by Indigo flight from Delhi which would arrive at 19:20 in evening....and I plan to leave from Chennai to Delhi on 03rd Oct(Saturday) by TN Exp which would depart at 21:20 in night.

I have around 6 full days and 6 nights and would like to cover following in order of priority.

1. Rameshwaram (must visit)
2. Kanyakumari (must visit)
3. Madurai (must visit)
6. Trichy (preferable)
4. Kanchipuram (preferable)
5. Mamallapuram(preferable)

I will be travelling with my parents in their 50+, so would prefer train travel overnight.. Can someone give me optimal plan with more train travel.

Tentative plan
---------------------------
Sunday: Arrive in Chennai
Monday: Day tour to Kanchipuram
Monday Night: Overnight train to Rameshwaram
Tuesday : Spend time at Rameshwaram
Wednesday Morning: Take Bus to Madurai
Wednesday: Sight seeing at Madurai
Wednesday Night: Overnight train to Kanyakumari
Thursday : Sign seeing at Kanyakumari
Thursday Night: Overnight train to Trichy
Friday: Sight seeing in Trichy
Friday Night: Overnigt train to Chennai
Saturday: Tour to Mallapuram
Saturday Night: Overnight train to Delhi.

I think i got your name? OK
On paper your plan seems to be ok but practically i feel you are tiring yourself, you will be travelling in the night on monday, wednesday,thursay, friday and saturday, can you take this ?
Either skip one or two places or extend your stay.

I also would suggest to first complete your priorities and then if you have time see the optional places.

Thanks, I plan to keep remove Trichy.

Thanks, now I will be travelling to Rameshwaram/Kanyakumari on Nights by train and rest by Bus.

Monday Morning :: Day trip to Mallapuram
Monday Night :: Travel from Chennai to Rameshwaram by train
Tuesday Day :: Arrive at rameshwaram, local sight seing, night halt.
Wednesday Morning :: Rameshwaram to Madurai by train. I think their is passenger train from rameshwarm to madurai in the morning. Arrive at madurai by afternoon, visit the temple and overnight at madurai.
Thursday Morning :: Madurai -> Kanyakumari by BUS /train late night
Thursday Night :: Kanyakumari
Friday Night :: Board the train at 5.15 pm from Kanyakumari to Chennai
Saturday Day :: Day trip to Kanchipuram
