Hi Friends,
I am planning to visit Kanyakumari and would like to get some help in making my itenary. Can anyone guide me if there are taxis available from Nagercoil Jn to Kanyakumari? What would be the approx. cost and time taken? Are there any bus option? Also what would be the time taken and costs (using taxi) if I want to reach Kanyakumari from Thrivendrum Airport? |

A very pleasant and relaxing way is to take a train from Trivandrum to Kanyakumari. You don't need to get down at Nagercoil.
There are also buses to Kanyakumari from Trivandrum, but I would prefer the train, as the road is very busy. |

Soubir,
From Nagercoil to Kanyakumari it's just around 20 kms. Lot of buses (City Buses as well as Normal buses) available. Hardly it takes 45 to 60 minutes. Nagarcoil is very small city and hence you could take a Auto from Nagercoil Jn to Bus stand and board a bus. Hardly there is a need for taxi as virtually nothing enroute to visit ! From Trivandrum to Nagercoil it is around 80 kms and numerous buses are there in this route (Apart from few trains). If pune is going to be your starting point, Pune-Chennai Followed by Chennai-Kanyakumari Superfast express will be one of the better options. Hope this helps. |

You can visit Suchindram and it's temple on the way.... and when you are coming from Trivandrum you can see Padmanabapuram Palace. It is really worth a visit... Maybe you can go one way by bus and one way by train.
