Place to stay in Coimbatore

Me and a friend of mine will arrive in Coimbatore tomorrow evening after visiting Ooty. We still didn't find a place to stay for 1 night. We're looking for a simple but clean place (Rs250/300). Maybe you've got some recommends. Thanks,

Hi , not to worry . Assuming that you are returning to coimbatore by bus from OOTY , you will disembark at Gandhipuram , which is the central bus station . From there you will find a lot of buses , rickshaws to take you to Railway station , which is about 1.5 kms . Opp railway station there are many lodges and boarding houses in a lane , which is the only one and cannot be missed due to the presence of travel agencies etc .Most of these lodges are clean ,ok for a night's stay in the budget mentioned .

Relatively Gandhipuram is expensive though there are quite a few lodges behind the central bus stand .

You will find something opposite the railway station. Just cross the road and have a look in the area behind (not in the main road).
