Need Help for Ooty Tour

hi all,

I am newly married and we are planning to visit ooty. We are not aware of the place prev'ly, so we are trying to book through a package. But they are giving the chioce of hotel place to us. So, I need suggestion from anyone here, about which place would be better for us to take a hotel. I heard from one of my friend that there is some good place in the outskirts of ooty, which would be very peaceful. Could some one please tell me which place is it so that i can visit that place too. Also please suggest me some more good places in ooty. I repeat my query, I want to know which place would be good to take a hotel in ooty.

Indu , we stayed few years back in Hotel Tamilnadu (Owned by Govt.of tamilnadu) which is at a prominent place in ooty (Nr Charring Cross) and at the same time it's secluded from the crowd. We stayed in Double deluxe room (475/ Day) in off-season and it was really good. Food in the restaurant is average BUT always you can go for a short walk and all good hotels are nearby.

Pros :-
1)Location
2)Rooms are neat and calm
3)Very very Safe (That's what We felt alteast).
4)All Local Package tours start from this place itself.

cons:-
1)Restaurant (No Much Varieties )

We are going to ooty this good friday week-end & already we have booked the same Double Deluxe (Now it's 700Rs + Tax off-season).
