Modes of Transport from Dindigul to Kodaikanal

Hi ,

Any idea how much it costs to reach Kodaikanal from Dindigul railway station by both private cab and state transport bus ?

Distance is about 100 kms.

Madurai to Kodaikanal (80 kms) by public bus cost us Rs. 40 (approx.) in May this year. Dindigul to Kodai would cost around the same. No first hand experience with private cabs but read somewhere that it costs around Rs. 800-1000.

Best would be go by bus. They are frequent buses from Dindigul for Kodaikanal.

Take a bus from Dindugal to Vattalakundu(33km)- bus fare around Rs 11.50.

Take another bus to kodaikanal from there (Rs 25).
