| Guys, just a note of caution. I am not sure if the temple is open for receiving non Hindu visitors. It is one of the most holy shrine's in south india and I remember someone telling me about it being off limits for westerner.... One IM'r from california did make it to the inner sanctum due to his inner spirits and made to appear Indian looks ![]()

| Sudheer, Meenaski temple is open for non hindous. I've been there 3 years ago and was not the only foreigner. BTW the pictures are really nice. |

| The inner sanctorium is Hindus-only...nothing to miss here...I myself avoided it last year looking at the size of the crowd in queues trying to get in....I badly wanted to see the beautiful idol of goddess Meenakshi...but all I would be able to see is pitch darkness...instead I paid my respects to good Ganesha.
