I am staying in Chennai, Pls suggest me how to reach n where to stay.

You may check up with APTDC or travel agents. I think they do have a conducted tour on weekends for the above places.
Trains from Chennai to Mumbai pass through Mantralayam. The temple is ~15 km away from the rly station. Jeeps/autos are available.
