Mamallapuram apartment rental short-term

We are looking to rent an apartment in Mamallaprum for a couple of weeks. I did read somewhere that the owner of the Seashore resturant has a 2 bedroom apartment, so will follow that up when we are there - would anyone know if it is easy to find where there are short term rentals that are in good condition and not a resort or Hotel, etc? - we have booked somewhere for 5 or so days - so will have time to scout around - Thanks Karen.

There is a french lady who owns a restaurant there and this lady normally helps tourists with apartments to stay at.Maybeonce u r there you can check it out.Enjoy your stay

LOL. That would surprise me, I think it reads "maybe once you're there." May have been hastily or SMS-style written.

So good luck finding the French lady with the restaurant there Can't help you any further; I'm sure you'll be able to find something on the ground.

Hello India friends! My husband and I are wanting to spend time (our golden years) in India, splitting time betwee east coast Mamallapuram (I always knew it as Mahabalipuram in the old days)and west coast Goa. We would like a little house or private dwelling for around $400 a month, furnished, walking distance to sea and sights, all inclusive (utilities). Any ideas out there on who to contact by email or the web?

Anyone else KNOW anything about apartments or long term hotel rentals on the less expensive side in Mamallapuram? Not getting much from anywhere or anyone. Feeling Frustrated - kinda hard being in the US and needing info in India. Any ideas?
