Malaria concerns while travelling Tamil Nadu
H'all,
does anybody know about what should be my prevent action ( if any ) against Malaria in Tamil Nadu region ( Chennai, Madurai). Yoga Gal, you've been there a couple times before, what did you do: vaccines, taking Malaron pills etc when you go there? What should I know about that stuff if I am planning to go there for 3 weeks ? Or might be it is Travel Guide's warnings just in case? I heard from the news there is Malaria things could happen in Goa, Kearala region, but nothing about Eastern part of South India. Appreciate any respond. Alextur, many anti-malarial drugs require that you take them for a certain period before exposure - you should therefore consult your local medical services who will advise you on the recommended available drugs. TN does have mosquitos, and malaria, and probably some dengue too!
