Depending on where you are headed after Munnar, you could consider Madurai - Thekkady - Munnar.

You can also visit the Chinnar sanctuary which is north of Munnar on the Udumalpet road.

The drive there is very scenic, passing high mountains, deep valleys, waterfalls, tea estates and jungles. You could also see the prehistoric muniyara dolmens near Marayoor which is on the way.

Hi,

If you are touching Cochin for going to Munnar then you may visit the Athirappally Falls which is near Chalakudi. One of the breathtaking waterfalls.

Athirappally Falls. 32 kms from Chalkudy .
